Russia Names Second Domestically Built Arctic LNG Carrier ‘Konstantin Posyet’

On June 18, 2026 Sovcomflot christened the Arc7‑class LNG carrier Konstantin Posyet at the Zvezda yard in Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai. The vessel can navigate unescorted through up to 2.1 m ice, will haul 172,600 cbm of LNG year‑round on the Northern Sea Route under a long‑term charter with Arctic LNG 2, and marks the start of serial domestic production amid sanctions.
