The Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, signed by President Trump in mid‑September, authorises U.S. sanctions on Novatek and foreign vessels that support the Yamal LNG project. The law could target the 14 specialised Arc7 LNG carriers operating from Sabetta, which would expose European shipyards, insurers and banks to sanctions risk.
