Russian nuclear icebreaker Arktika escorts Severny Polus research station from Greenland Sea to Barents Sea

After drifting for 21 months and covering more than 6,550 km, Russia’s nuclear‑powered icebreaker Arktika guided the autonomous Severny Polus research platform out of the Greenland Sea into the Barents Sea. It was the first time a Russian nuclear vessel operated in that sector.
