Russia Sends First Conventional LNG Carrier to Arctic LNG 2 as Oil Tankers Gather for NSR Push

Arctic LNG 2’s Utrenniy terminal received the Arctic Pioneer, its first non‑ice‑class LNG tanker this year. The arrival follows a growing fleet of conventional carriers – including Arc7’s Alexey Kosygin – that have joined for the summer season. A group of crude oil tankers in the Kara Sea holds about 5 million barrels and is poised to use the short summer window on the Northern Sea Route.
