Rethinking Greenlandic cartographic heritage

The Greenland National Museum & Archives opened its exhibition "MAPPING NUNAAT – Rethinking Greenlandic Cartographic Heritage" in Nuuk from May to September 2025, now available virtually. It displays Inuit maps made of skins, driftwood, and repatriated wooden pieces, and critiques European colonial cartography that erased Inuit place names, underscoring maps as tools of resistance and identity.
