Norway’s north faces ecological strain as heat‑driven tourism surges

Heatwaves in southern Europe are pushing tourists to Norway’s cool north; Lofoten recorded 807 k guest nights in 2025 and satellite imagery shows trails widened ~20 m, harming bird habitats.
