NEAS Launches New Arctic Liner Service from Corner Brook

On Oct 5 2026, Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping (NEAS) began a regular liner route to western Newfoundland, marked by the arrival of its ice‑class vessel UKPIK at the Port of Corner Brook. LOGISTEC, the port’s marine terminal operator, handled the full cargo loop—including loading a batch of Silver‑Dolphin aluminium boats built in Newfoundland for delivery to northern communities. The launch underlines Corner Brook’s growing role as a logistics hub linking Atlantic Canada to the Arctic.
