The EU Arctic Forum in Brussels on 1‑3 Sept saw the European Commission announce a new Arctic policy, Greenland call for self‑determination, Iceland’s ‘No’ vote on the EU noted, and Norway’s senior official pledging to halt Arctic drilling if EU no longer requires oil, highlighting competing priorities.
