Conscripts training in Greenland(opens in a new tab)
The Danish Defence has deployed its first conscripts to Greenland for operational duties in Exercise Arctic Endurance, training in Kangerlussuaq and Nuuk's harsh, tree‑free terrain. The move, part of the extended conscription programme under the 2024–2033 Defence Agreement, aims to build combat power by teaching soldiers concealment, navigation and camouflage skills unique to Arctic environments.
