Churchill Port Resumes Grain Exports After Six Years Following C$262.5 M Upgrade

On July 17 the Port of Churchill in Manitoba resumed grain exports for the first time since 2020, shipping its inaugural cargo via the Hudson Bay Railway after a federal and provincial investment of C$262.5 million (US$187 m). The indigenous‑owned Arctic Gateway Group also shipped supplies to Nunavut aboard the Qamutik, which departed July 12 carrying construction equipment.
