Canada Investment Summit in Toronto Highlights Arctic Projects

At the country’s first Canada Investment Summit in Toronto, premiers of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut – R.J. Simpson and John Main – presented Arctic infrastructure projects, including four major ventures in Nunavut (the Grays Bay road and port, Kivalliq Hydro‑Fibre Link, an Iqaluit hydroelectric generator, and a deep‑sea port at Qikiqtarjuaq). Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a $1 trillion investment goal over the next five years to attract global investors.
