B2Gold’s new CEO gets his Goose test

Mike Cinnamond became B2Gold’s president and CEO on June 4, and his first task is to get the Nunavut Goose mine back to full‑rate production after an April crusher fire that cut Q2 output by ~10,000 ounces. Repairs cost about C$7 million and are slated for completion in Q3 2026, with a two‑stage upgrade to raise capacity to 4,000 tonnes per day by mid‑2027.
